The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NECMA) called a Joint Assessment Team for Weather and Tropical Cases (JAT) meeting to discuss and monitor the current tropical situation in the Arabian Sea.
The main focus of the meeting was the analysis of preliminary data and readings related to the tropical state, which suggest that the impact on the nation will likely be indirect. In certain coastal areas, sea turbulence and water extension are expected, but there are no indications that the country’s regions will be affected.
As part of the proactive measures, the team discussed possible ways to improve readiness to handle any developments that may result from this tropical state. This entailed stepping up monitoring of the situation’s movement and trends to ensure that business continuity plans are activated when needed. It also involved disseminating safety instructions to the public through official channels and sources in the United Arab Emirates.
These movements are a part of continuous efforts to improve the nation’s capacity to handle a range of weather situations and guarantee the security of its infrastructure and populace.
The team also advised the public to avoid spreading false information and to instead look for updates, advice, and information from domestic official sources.
