On Monday, US President Donald Trump threatened to revoke the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and “let hell break out” unless Hamas released all captives held by the militant group in Gaza by Saturday noon. Trump said he might talk to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and warned that Israel might attempt to overrule him on the matter.

However, during an extensive interview with reporters in the Oval Office, Trump voiced his displeasure with the state of the most recent set of captives that Hamas had released as well as the militant organization’s declaration that it would stop releasing more.

Personally, I believe that Saturday at 12 p.m. is a suitable time if none of the hostages are returned. Let hell break out, cancel it, and all bets are off, in my opinion. According to Trump, they should be returned by Saturday at 12 p.m. Instead of releasing the captives one at a time, he stated that he preferred their release in bulk. “We want ’em all back.

Additionally, Trump threatened to cut off aid to Egypt and Jordan if they refused to accept Palestinian refugees being moved from Gaza. On Tuesday, he will meet King Abdullah of Jordan. The remarks were made on a day when Trump’s plan for a U.S. occupation of Gaza after the conflict ends caused some consternation.
