Following discussions between Donald Trump’s special envoy and Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Moscow, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday called for a face-to-face meeting with the Russian leader to put an end to the war.

A day after he spoke with the US president, who stated that he may meet Putin “very soon,” Zelensky posted on social media, “It is necessary to determine the timing for such a format and the range of issues to be addressed.
In a social media post, Zelensky stated, “We in Ukraine have repeatedly said that finding real solutions can be truly effective at the level of representatives. It is essential to decide on the timing for such an arrangement and the range of problems to be addressed,” he said.
On Thursday morning, the Ukrainian leader said that he will have “several” talks with French and Italian authorities, as well as German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, during the day. There will also be contact at the rank of national security advisors,” said Zelensky.
