His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met with Jasem Al Budaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), on the first day of the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2026. The summit started on Tuesday and will last for three days with the theme “Shaping Future Governments.”

The meeting looked at ways to coordinate activity in the Gulf and improve integration in the economy, development, and government sectors, in keeping with the goals and plans of GCC leaders. The meeting stressed how important it is to make the region more ready for changes in the future and better able to turn problems into chances for long-term growth.
