According to the Numbeo Safety Index, a website that gathers data from people worldwide, the United Arab Emirates topped the global rankings for the safest nations in the middle of 2025. The United Arab Emirates topped the index with a score of 85.2 points, outperforming nations like Andorra, Qatar, Taiwan, and Macau, which came in second.

The UAE, which is home to more than 200 different nationalities, is well known for its high standard of living and safe environment. It came back to the top of the biannual rankings after falling to second place behind Andorra in March 2025. With a score of 84.8, Andorra came in second, followed by Taiwan and Macau, then Qatar.

Saudi Arabia ranked 14th in the region, followed by Bahrain at 15th, Kuwait at 38th, Jordan at 54th, and Pakistan at 62nd. India and the Philippines came in at number 67 and 66, respectively. In comparison, the United States finished 91st with 50.8 points, while the United Kingdom came in 86th with 51.6 points. This indicates that citizens’ sense of security in these nations is eroding.

With a crime rate of 11.8 points and a safety index score of 88.2 points, Abu Dhabi is considered the safest city in the world, according to Numbeo’s Crime and Safety Index. Dubai, meanwhile, came in fifth place globally, demonstrating the UAE’s notable advancements in bolstering stability and security.
