The 249th UAE humanitarian aid convoy has arrived in the Gaza Strip as part of “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3,” reaffirming the UAE’s ongoing commitment to support the Palestinian people. Carrying over 195 tonnes of shelter materials and essential supplies, the convoy continues the UAE’s sustained efforts to alleviate the suffering of Gaza’s residents amid harsh humanitarian conditions.
The latest shipment includes 2,250 shelter tents transported on 15 trucks, dispatched urgently to help families affected by the recent cold wave and heavy rainfall, which have increased the need for shelter and protection.
The UAE humanitarian aid team for Gaza, based in Al Arish, prepared the convoy at its logistics centre, where aid shipments are received, stored, and organised to ensure steady and orderly delivery to the Strip. Fahad Saleh Al Harthi, head of the UAE humanitarian aid team in Al Arish, said the 249th convoy forms part of the ongoing support under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. He stressed that the regular delivery of aid is crucial to meeting the growing humanitarian needs, particularly as weather conditions continue to worsen the situation for local families.
