As part of the UAE’s Comprehensive Development Program in Afghanistan, which intends to improve basic infrastructure across multiple development sectors, especially healthcare, the UAE has opened ten maternity centers in seven Afghan provinces.
Through initiatives and development programs in other nations that are carried out and managed by the UAE Coordination Office for Humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan, the initiative is in line with the UAE’s continuous humanitarian and developmental efforts as part of its foreign assistance policy.
The UAE continues its humanitarian, philanthropic, and developmental endeavours in Afghanistan under the direction of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, according to Reem Bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation.
She also reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to helping underprivileged communities and individuals, in keeping with the founding father Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s longstanding humanitarian legacy to care for people wherever they may be and to strive toward delivering critical healthcare services to underserved communities worldwide.
