The World Bank has hailed the United Arab Emirates as a model for human development and the adoption of policies that empower young people and women. Through labor law reforms and investments in childcare and early childhood development, the UAE has created an integrated model of work-life balance and women’s workforce participation, according to Fadia Saadah, Regional Director for Human Development in the Middle East and North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan Region at the World Bank.

She pointed out that the nation’s investments in reasonably priced childcare and early childhood development are empowering women and giving young people the skills they need.

Saadah cited the UAE’s flexible labor mobility policies, which include job search and remote work visas, as well as flexible visa options like the Golden and Green Visas for skilled professionals, investors, and freelancers, as ways that other MENA nations could profit from them.
