As part of the UAE’s continued humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 has now reached 500 days of nonstop donating. The United Arab Emirates started the humanitarian effort to help the Gaza population and is still providing individuals in need with immediate humanitarian aid.
To guarantee that aid reaches those in need as soon as possible, more than 65,000 tonnes of food, medical, and relief supplies totaling more than $1.2 billion were sent during this time via air, land, and sea.
The UAE started several projects as part of the humanitarian effort, such as the construction of two field hospitals: one inside the Gaza Strip that provided comprehensive medical care for 51,853 cases and another floating hospital off the coast of Al Arish city in Egypt that treated 10,370 cases. Additionally, 1,200 tonnes of medical supplies and equipment were provided to support local hospitals, and 17 fully equipped ambulances were added to the healthcare system.
Six desalination facilities were established to help satisfy basic needs; each one produces two million gallons of water per day, which is then pumped into Gaza to give the impacted population access to clean drinking water.
