In 2025, the United Arab Emirates has achieved top rankings in a number of significant global competitiveness indexes, highlighting a time of swift institutional and economic expansion that has made the country one of the most significant economies in the world.

In the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking 2025, the nation scored 96.09 out of 100, placing it in the top five worldwide. With this accomplishment, the UAE has risen two spots from the previous year and is now rated first in the area for the ninth year in a row. The UAE was rated 10th in the world in the Global Soft Power Index 2025, which was published in London in February. Its Nation Brand value increased from $1 trillion to $1.223 trillion in 2025.

The UAE rose 11 places to rank 15th in the world in the 2025 UNDP Human Development Index, further reflecting these improvements. Among the top 20 countries in the world for human development, it is still the only Arab nation.

The UAE also placed ninth in the IMD World Talent Rankings, up eight spots from 2024 thanks to outstanding workforce preparedness and international appeal scores.

According to the Health Inclusivity Index, which was created by Haleon in collaboration with Economist Impact, the UAE rated #1 in the world for health outreach initiatives, community involvement in health policy, and wellbeing promotion.
