Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, the UAE’s ambassador to Egypt, opened the dialysis unit at the UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish. This is part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to help displaced patients from the Gaza Strip and ease the suffering of kidney failure patients in difficult humanitarian conditions.

The new unit has two dialysis machines, allowing six dialysis sessions per day. Each session lasts about four hours and follows approved medical protocols. This allows for continued care for people who need it.

The unit’s opening is a response to the growing number of Palestinian patients with kidney diseases and the growing need for dialysis sessions. This led to the creation of a fully equipped unit within the floating hospital to provide necessary care and ease the burden on patients and their families.

The goal of the project is to offer dialysis services adjacent to residential areas in Al Arish so that people don’t have to drive far and can get treatment without interruption. The goal of the project is to make it easier for people in Al Arish to access dialysis services close to home, so they don’t have to travel as much and can continue receiving treatment.
