The UAE has a sophisticated cybersecurity system that can anticipate and stop the majority of electronic attacks before they happen, according to Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cybersecurity Council. He pointed out that over 50,000 cyberattacks on critical industries occur daily, all of which are actively prevented and lessened.

Dr. Al Kuwaiti emphasised in remarks to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the nation’s national security operations centre is easily linked to critical industries that depend on digital infrastructure, such as banking, energy, healthcare, water, and electricity. The goal of this link is to protect the country’s digital environment from possible cyberattacks. He noted that the nation’s cybersecurity capabilities, which use cutting-edge artificial intelligence, enable it to identify the type of attack, track down the perpetrators, and prevent attacks before they happen all under international cybersecurity best practices. Certain governments or terrorist groups frequently support these attacks.

In order to influence public opinion and destabilise societies around the world, Al Kuwaiti said, modern warfare has moved to cyberspace, where cyberattacks are carried out with the use of technologies like viruses, deepfakes, and disinformation operations.
