Aleksandar Vučić, President of the Republic of Serbia, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, spoke about regional events amid the continuous military escalation and its grave consequences for regional and global security and stability. The talks happened during a meeting where Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the president of Serbia, who is in the UAE on a business trip.
The two sides also discussed the ongoing Iranian strikes on the United Arab Emirates and other nations in the area, pointing out that they violate both international law and state sovereignty. These attacks include attacks on civilians, civilian infrastructure, and critical facilities. In addition to denouncing these acts, Vučić reiterated Serbia’s solidarity with the UAE and its complete support for any actions it takes to protect its security, stability, and territorial integrity as well as the protection of its citizens.
In order to resolve unresolved regional concerns in a way that maintains peace and stability and averts additional tensions and crises, both sides emphasized the necessity of putting an immediate stop to escalating military operations and the significance of giving conversation and diplomacy top priority. In accordance with their development priorities and shared interests under the UAE-Serbia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continue enhancing ties during the meeting, which also discussed collaboration between the two nations.
Sheikh Mohamed welcomed Vučić and several other Sheikhs, ministers, and high-ranking officials as they arrived in the UAE earlier. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, the UAE President’s adviser, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and several other officials attended the meeting.
