
ABU DHABI: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, held talks on Wednesday on bilateral relations and ways to expand cooperation, particularly in the fields of economy, investment, food security, renewable energy, environmental action, and other areas of mutual interest that support sustainable development in both nations.
The discussions took place in Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, where Sheikh Mohamed hosted Ilham Aliyev during his working visit to the United Arab Emirates. Sheikh Mohamed praised Aliyev’s visit and expressed the hope that it would help advance collaboration in ways that would benefit both nations and their citizens.
The significance of cooperative efforts to advance peace, stability, and security both locally and internationally was emphasised by the two leaders’ discussion of subjects of shared interest on a regional and global level.
The relationship between the UAE and Azerbaijan is based on respect and common interests, Sheikh Mohamed confirmed, adding that the two nations’ relationships are still strengthening, especially in sectors that promote cooperative growth.
Sheikh Mohamed also underlined the UAE and Azerbaijan’s same understanding of the value of communication and cross-cultural interaction. Sheikh Mohamed reiterated the UAE’s commitment to establishing development-oriented alliances throughout the Caucasus, particularly with Azerbaijan, to promote the welfare of the local population.
