After receiving a formal welcome on Tuesday at Rashtrapati Bhavan’s forecourt, Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. stated that the state visit “reaffirms the growing partnership between India and the Philippines. At Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation, the president of the Philippines began a five-day state visit to India on Monday, arriving in New Delhi.

This visit is the reaffirmation of the alliance and the partnership that we are strengthening,” Marcos told the media. Because of the global nature of politics, trade, and the economy, we are now correctly referred to as the Indo-Pacific area, which was once known as the Asia-Pacific region.

In addition to exploring the numerous opportunities that have emerged in recent years due to new technology and the shifting geopolitical and economic landscapes around us, we are here to build on what we (the Philippines and India) already have,” he continued.
