His Majesty Sharjah’s ruler and Supreme Council member, Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, has approved the emirate’s general budget, which is the biggest in the emirate’s history and comes to an astounding sum of almost Dhs42 billion.

This budget seeks to maintain a respectable level of living, encourage social welfare for all citizens, and cultivate financial sustainability. It also aims to improve safety precautions, bolster social security, and guarantee the sustainability of essential resources like food, water, and energy.

The budget seeks to improve the tourism infrastructure, guarantee suitable housing for Sharjah’s diversified population, and increase government agencies’ ability to finance their strategic objectives and projects. These initiatives aim to increase social, cultural, and recreational tourism, ultimately raising this important industry’s.

Several financial and strategic pillars support the general budget for 2025. To ensure that the citizens of the emirate profit from the economic prosperity attained, it strongly emphasised a concerted effort to develop a pioneering environment in the social, cultural, health, tourist, and infrastructural sectors to equal those of advanced nations.

The goal of the budget is to increase the government’s capacity to deal with regional and global issues that affect economies worldwide, like inflation, interest rate increases, economic downturns, and geopolitical conflicts, which surely affect every country.
