A successful second edition of Determination Week has been held by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) in collaboration with the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination.
Determination Week, which attracted over 2,000 People of Determination to various events, emphasized the value of accessibility and inclusion for Abu Dhabi’s children and youth of determination, guaranteeing their participation in social, recreational, and educational activities.
“We are proud to have contributed to the success of the second Determination Week, which is a powerful demonstration of the importance of inclusion, representation, and equal opportunities,” stated Adnan Al Awadhi, Executive Director of Support Services at DCT Abu Dhabi. It reinforced our dedication to making sure that accessibility to the emirate’s cultural assets and landmarks is a crucial component of our growth as a travel destination and reiterated that Abu Dhabi is for everyone, regardless of ability.
A number of exciting events were planned for Determination Week to honor and empower people of determination. One of the highlights was recording a special episode of the Zayed Higher Organization team’s “Jusoor Al Amal” podcast, which is broadcast by DCT Abu Dhabi. The program featured firsthand accounts of a person of determination visiting cultural and tourism sites across Abu Dhabi.
