On Thursday, Shou Zi Chew, the CEO of TikTok, one of the most well-known social media platforms globally, met with Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.
Dubai is committed to expanding partnerships with global new media technology leaders like TikTok to enhance the competitiveness of its media sector,” Sheikh Hamdan said in a statement marking the event. Through strategic partnerships, we hope to develop local talent, incorporate state-of-the-art knowledge, and solidify Dubai’s standing as a vibrant centre for media innovation at the vanguard of the sector’s development.
