Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, has officially approved the new Architectural Identity for Dubai’s road projects. This initiative is designed to enhance the visual and functional character of urban elements across the emirate’s extensive network of roads, corridors, and streets. The move supports Dubai’s broader vision of building a sustainable, integrated city that elevates the experience of both residents and visitors.

During his visit, Sheikh Hamdan also reviewed the progress of two major infrastructure projects: the Trade Centre Roundabout and Al Mustaqbal Street improvement initiatives. These projects involve the construction of seven bridges and three tunnels, stretching over 6,500 meters and costing AED1.3 billion. Once completed, they will serve seven key residential and development zones, including Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Emirates Towers, Museum of the Future, and Downtown Dubai. The upgrades are expected to benefit over one million residents and visitors, reducing travel time by up to 75%.

Upon arriving at the Trade Centre Roundabout project site, Sheikh Hamdan was welcomed by His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Al Tayer provided an overview of Dubai’s road and transport network, spanning more than 25,000 lane-kilometres and serving over 3.5 million vehicles daily.
