
His Majesty Sharjah’s ruler and Supreme Council member, Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, was present at the 4th International Forum for Arabic Language Teachers’ (IFALT) closing ceremony on Monday.
The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) and the Sharjah Education Academy organized the event, which took place at the Sharjah Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research in University City from October 4–6.
In her speech, Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashemi, the chairperson of the Sharjah Education Academy and the SPEA, thanked H.H. the Ruler of Sharjah for his patronage and emphasized that his ongoing support is essential to the success of educational initiatives in the emirate.
She pointed out that in addition to providing a place for information sharing, the forum is a real-world example of the 2025–2028 strategic goals, which center on strengthening Arabic as a foundation of identity and knowledge creation, empowering educators, and improving educational quality.
The forum’s organizers, Dr. Al Hashemi emphasized, want to empower Arabic teachers and ignite a love for the language, turning it into values that thrive. She presented the findings of the “Talaa” standardized Arabic language tests, which showed that Sharjah had significantly outperformed the global average.
