The Sharjah Ladies Club organized a number of events during the holy month of Ramadan as part of its continuous efforts to provide integrated awareness programs. These events included educational and interactive lectures with the goal of promoting a balance between women’s spiritual well-being and their health while highlighting their crucial role in creating families and communities.
Preacher Mona Tarish gave a religious talk called Words for Believing Women as one of the events. Using lessons from the Holy Quran and the Prophet’s (PBUH) Sunnah, the seminar examined women’s roles in society. Inspiring examples of powerful women were also included, highlighting the significance of empowering women and raising their level of social responsibility and awareness.
Additionally, the club arranged for Dr. Abeer Al Kusayer, a nutrition specialist, to provide an awareness lecture titled Ramadan, the Healthy Way. The talk covered the best ways to eat during the holy month and offered helpful advice on how to keep a balanced and healthful fast, which improves general health and quality of life.
To increase the impact of the awareness programs and strengthen their connection to daily life, the activities in this context included an interactive workshop where participants could share ideas and experiences and apply the concepts taught in the lectures in a practical setting. “Through these lectures, we aim to enhance awareness of spiritual and cultural values, highlight the inspiring role of women, and encourage positive engagement with their responsibilities, contributing to the development of a cohesive and educated society,” said Ameera Al Amri, Head of Events at Sharjah Ladies Club.
