
Sharjah’s Department of Government Relations (DGR), in the presence of Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the American University of Sharjah (AUS), welcomed 11 female ambassadors and senior diplomatic representatives to an enriching Ramadan gathering at Bait Elowal, a new cultural landmark in Sharjah. Prior to the suhoor, guests were treated to an exclusive tour of Bait Elowal and a unique class offered by herbalist health brand Hikma.
Sheikha Bodour stated that the Holy Month of Ramadan allowed one to reflect on one’s faith, virtue, and solidarity. She also complimented the DGR for organizing the event, exemplifying Sharjah’s strategic commitment to inclusive diplomacy and promoting women’s leadership in global collaboration.
“Female diplomats are particularly positioned to support creative policy solutions and conflict resolution, promoting our shared global vision of equitable and effective international relations. This event, mainly during Ramadan, demonstrates our commitment to fostering meaningful cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi, Chairman of DGR, emphasized the importance of Ramadan gatherings as a forum for exchange and shared learning, reinforcing Sharjah’s commitment to cultural interchange and strong worldwide links as a means of international collaboration.
