
The Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, and Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, reviewed the most recent developments of the expansion project and future plans for Sharjah International Airport at the Ruler’s Office on Tuesday morning. A thorough briefing on the airport’s passenger terminal extension project, which aims to increase capacity to handle 20 million people a year, was given to Sheikh Sultan.

The Crown Prince was given an update on a number of ongoing construction projects in a recent visual presentation. Sheikh Sultan went over plans to construct a new passenger terminal, create an extra runway, and build a road system to connect the new terminal to the airport’s existing amenities. These initiatives are essential to the bold plan to expand the airport’s capacity.
