The Sharjah Archives has formally established a records management system at the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) headquarters. This strategic phase intends to regulate and preserve government records in accordance with best practices and established standards, resulting in improved workflows and information sustainability.

Sheikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Archives, and Sheikha Jameela Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the SCHS, signed the agreement in the presence of the City’s Director-General, Mona Abdul Karim Al Yafie, as well as numerous officials and personnel from both sides.

The records management system is one of the most advanced tools for establishing a well-organised and effective workplace. It ensures that documents are categorised, coded, stored, scheduled, and disposed of safely. Technology also makes information more accessible, which adds greatly to effective institutional decision-making.

Sheikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi praised both teams’ efforts, saying that implementing the system at Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services is a vital step towards preserving a culture of documentation and governance. He stated that this effort demonstrates Sharjah’s ongoing commitment to improving government performance and preserving its rich humanitarian heritage.
