A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to build a manufacturing and seat assembly plant in Dubai has been inked by Emirates and Safran Seats, a top maker of aviation seats. The first-ever combined industrial cooperation will first focus on Business and Economy Class seats for cabin renovation projects, with future ambitions to expand to line fit.

This cutting-edge facility will increase capacity, making it possible to serve Emirates and other Safran Seats clients. The goal of this calculated action is to bring Safran Seats’ industry-leading knowledge closer to Emirates’ and other airlines’ operations.

His Highness “This agreement with Safran marks a pivotal and strategic cooperation that establishes Dubai as an aerospace manufacturing hub,” stated Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group. In addition to establishing capabilities to assist Emirates and produce seats for export to other carriers, we are bringing world-class seat production capabilities and a supply chain right to our door. Our refurbishment program and the development of our onboard cabin interior requirements will be directly supported by the relationship.
