A woman and her son were reunited by Sharjah Police, acting on behalf of the Department of Prevention and Community Protection, following a more than 12-year separation caused by complex family conflicts that resulted in a total breakdown in contact.

The lawsuit stemmed from the mother’s recent entry into the nation following years of hardship that started when her child was born. She was unable to see him because of her difficult family situation.

She was compelled to depart the nation in 2013 due to the worsening of her problems following her divorce from her husband and the loss of her source of income. She learned about her son’s living, health, and educational circumstances after a protracted period of anguish. At last, she was able to travel to the nation and resume her quest for her son. In search of any information that could give her hope again, she went to the Sharjah Police.

Thanks to a committed team of social workers, the Department of Prevention and Community Protection launched prompt and accurate searches through the appropriate channels and authorities as part of its humanitarian duty.
