Dubai Police and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to improve the performance of shared services by streamlining processes and eliminating pointless stages.

Both parties’ shared commitment to promoting strategic cooperation that guarantees more efficient workflows and better service delivery is reflected in the agreement. Ahmad Hassan Mahboub, CEO of RTA’s Licensing Agency, and Major General Abdullah Khadem Al Mesam, Director of the Bur Dubai Police Station, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

The signing was held in the Dubai Police Officers Club in the presence of Brigadier Rashid Muhammad Al Shehhi, Director of the Al Muraqqabat Police Station, and several officers from both sides.

According to Major General Al Al Mesam, the Memorandum of Understanding demonstrates the leadership’s dedication to improving service quality, streamlining processes, and assisting the government’s overarching goal of cutting bureaucracy. It also aligns with the directives of Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.  He pointed out that the agreement promotes the creation of work processes and the control of complaint systems to accomplish the strategic objective of creating a secure and resilient city.

According to the agreement, RTA and Dubai Police will work together to: • Simplify camera registration requests for public transit and associated services. • Centralising communication and coordination about surveillance systems between the two organisations. • Setting up protocols for delivering CCTV footage that has been recorded in accordance with predetermined performance metrics.
