On Thursday, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, convened a meeting with Nikol Pashinyan, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. Their discussions centred on the potential to strengthen bilateral relationships in a variety of sectors to advance the aspirations of both countries for prosperity and advancement.

Sheikh Mohamed initiated the meeting by congratulating Prime Minister Pashinyan on the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity 2026, which was granted in honour of the momentous peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Sheikh Mohamed commended the foresight of both nations in prioritising dialogue and achieving an agreement that contributes to the consolidation of security and stability in the wider Caucasus region and within their respective countries.

He observed that the agreement generates novel opportunities for collaboration that align with the aspirations of their respective populations and extended his warmest regards for Armenia’s ongoing advancement.

The UAE and Armenia conducted a joint assessment of their expanding bilateral relations, with a particular emphasis on priority sectors such as renewable energy, agriculture, food security, technology, and the digital transformation.
