According to a spokeswoman, a percentage of the money raised from ticket sales at Dubai Safari Park will go towards programs for the rescue, care, and research of animals. This was made public on Monday, the opening day of the four-day Arabian Travel Market, a travel and tourism event.
Dubai Safari Park has experienced a 67% increase in both ticket sales and visitor numbers since its sixth season opened in October 2024. Adult tickets cost Dh 75, while children’s tickets cost Dh 4, however the park official did not specify how much would go towards wildlife conservation initiatives.
We are pleased that we welcomed and motivated almost 40,000 students during Season 6, said Ahmed Alkhoori, head of Dubai Municipality’s specialist parks and recreational facilities, in an interview with Khaleej Times. There were some novel activations and experiences, such the night safari. With over 17,000 visits, we are pleased to report that it was completely sold.
According to Alkhoori, the purpose of the school tours was to teach the kids about the natural habitats of the animals. Educational programs on preventing illegal poaching, promoting sustainability, and increasing public awareness of the illicit wildlife trade were also part of the tours.
