The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has effectively turned 260 of its staff-use cars into eco-friendly versions, accounting for 55% of the fleet.
This accomplishment demonstrates RTA’s dedication to environmental stewardship and improving the effectiveness of transport services throughout the emirate, placing the company at the forefront of sustainable mobility.
These outcomes demonstrate RTA’s steadfast dedication to carrying out the directions of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, which urge Emirate government agencies to raise the proportion of hybrid and eco-friendly automobiles in their fleets.
With this initiative, RTA reaffirms its strategic commitment to reducing carbon emissions and advancing environmental sustainability, in line with the broader vision of Dubai and the UAE to transition towards a green economy,” said Fatima Al Mandoos, Director of Administrative Services at the Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector of RTA, in reference to the accomplishment. To help meet the Sustainable Development Goals, this action demonstrates RTA’s commitment to assisting initiatives to create a sustainable transportation industry and encourage the Emirate’s public and private fleets to use hybrid and electric cars.
