As part of its massive fleet modernization initiatives, the airline will launch several new onboard items starting in August 2026, along with a next-generation, fully immersive in-flight entertainment system and improved Wi-Fi access with Starlink on these aircraft.
In order to provide an improved and reliable passenger experience on the next 111 aircraft scheduled for retrofit, Emirates Engineering, in collaboration with partners Airbus, Safran, Recaro, Panasonic, Starlink, and UUDS, will install the newest seating designs and a new onboard lounge on 60 A380s, along with Panasonic’s cutting-edge Astrova in-flight entertainment system.
The airline has played a significant role in advancing product innovation with its partners, collaborating closely with suppliers and aircraft manufacturers to consistently improve passenger comfort, privacy, and the overall travel experience.
