We recently had the privilege of interviewing Tove Lovisa Bergkvist, CEO and Founder of REAL DUBAI, a European-owned real estate business offering exceptional services in Dubai. A serial entrepreneur, Tove’s expertise is unmatched in the real estate sector. With REAL DUBAI, she facilitates primarily European investors to secure high-value investment opportunities in the UAE.
Her commendable performance has also earned her several recognitions and awards, including ‘Women of the Decade’, by Women Economic Forum, 2022. As a multifaceted expert, Tove has authored two books and is the co-creator of several female business networks, reflecting her commitment to women’s empowerment. In this insightful session, Tove Lovisa Bergkvist shares her journey in this field and visions to establish her company in a strong position.
The Beginning
We started the session by asking, “How did you get started, and what led you to where you are today?”
Tove shared, “Professionally, I started out with management and organizational development in the hospitality industry and later ran my own consultancy business. With a deep passion for freedom—both personal and financial—I began investing in real estate 11 years ago, something that quickly turned into a source of great financial growth.
Travel has always been another passion of mine, and founding a real estate brokerage focused on international investments came as a natural extension of my journey.
Nearly 15 years ago, I became involved in co-creating my first women’s empowerment network—a social enterprise dedicated to helping women achieve financial independence. Since then, I’ve co-created several female business networks and, today, serve as the Global Chair for the G100 wing for Female CEOs and Wealth Creation alongside my own female network savvy females.
My commitment to building a life on my own terms—and supporting others in doing the same—continues to be the driving force behind everything I do.”

Adaptability Amidst Challenges
While challenges are an inevitable part of every business journey, we were interested to learn the challenges Tove Lovisa Bergkvist faces as a business leader, and how she overcomes them.
“One of the biggest challenges has been balancing growth with alignment. It’s easy to get pulled in many directions—especially when opportunities come fast. To become successful in what you do it is important to stay on the right track at the same time as you have to be flexible and adaptive for change. Knowing when to stay on the lane and when to evolve in a new direction is an art in itself. Learning to say no, keeping focus on the long-term vision, delegating wisely, and trusting my intuition have helped me out here. Another challenge is building the right team and keeping the team motivated. Right energy, dedication, and values are essential, especially in a business built on trust and long-term relationships,’’ Tove reflects.
Impact Of AI On The Real Estate Sector
We further asked, “How do you see technology, especially AI, impacting your industry? Are there any innovative practices you’re implementing?”
Tove Lovisa Bergkvist explained, “AI is in general reshaping real estate by making processes faster and smarter. In our brokerage, I use AI primarily for research—to collect data, identify trends, analyze the market and refine our strategies. It helps me to analyze the current market situation so I can better understand where the market are likely to evolve. It gives me a stronger foundation to anticipate changes and guide my clients with more confidence.”
Envisioning The Future
To understand Tove’s perspective on the upcoming days of the real estate industry, we posed the question, “What are your views on the future of the industry you’re associated with?”
Tove Lovisa Bergkvist shared, “Dubai’s real estate market is one of the most dynamic and globally attractive today. We’re seeing a clear shift from short-term speculative flips to a more mature, long-term investment approach—especially among international buyers who value lifestyle, stability, and wealth preservation.
At the same time, unstrategic leadership and growing economic uncertainty in other parts of the world are attracting more individuals and families to seek security, opportunity, and a better quality of life in places like Dubai. With stronger regulations and increasing trust in the market, Dubai is positioning itself as one of the most secure, future-focused places to invest, live, and grow.”
Words Of Wisdom For Aspiring Professionals
Addressing the beginners in her field, we asked Tove Lovisa Bergkvist, “What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs or leaders looking to make an impact in your industry?”
“Lead with intention and clarity. Start now—take immediate action and adjust along the way. Real estate, like entrepreneurship in general, rewards authenticity, consistency, and relationship-building. People buy your trust, confidence, and the energy you bring to the table. Be visible and surround yourself with people that inspire you to be, do, and achieve more,” she added.
The Art Of Balancing
We ended the interview by asking Tove Lovisa Bergkvist to give us a glimpse of her approach to maintaining a work-life balance while managing a business, all at the same time.
“Running a business comes with a 24/7 sense of responsibility, so in many ways, I’m always at work. At the same time, I work a lot from home and manage daily life alongside the business. What gives me balance is the freedom to shape my own schedule. I can travel freely, make time for family, prioritize well-being, and still take meetings and make decisions whenever needed.
We have homes in three countries and love to explore new places, so I live in a way that’s both always connected to my work even though I have a location-free lifestyle,” Tove replied.
