We recently had the privilege of interviewing Mukul Kaushik, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Trackier, Affnook, and Apptrove. Starting his journey from launching a blog and an Instagram channel, Mukul’s passion and dedication led him to the current position, where he leads revenue across all three businesses, driving scalable solutions and long-term growth. With over a decade of experience, Mukul Kaushik has emerged as a visionary leader in tech and affiliate marketing, proving to be an inspiration for leaders of tomorrow.
The Career Trajectory
We started the session by asking, “How did your journey begin, and what led you to where you are?”
Mukul shared, “My journey in tech and affiliate marketing began back in 2013 during my university days, sparked by a simple Google search: how to make money online. That curiosity led me to launch a blog and an Instagram channel, which grew organically to 15,000 followers within months. It wasn’t about going viral—it was about learning how digital ecosystems worked. That hands-on experience sparked a deep interest in digital marketing, and I began freelancing on various projects, building a solid foundation along the way.
In 2017, I co-founded my first startup, PicNtic—an outstation car rental platform. While it lasted only 1.5 years, it taught me invaluable lessons in entrepreneurship, team dynamics, and knowing when to pivot. After that, I joined Trackier, and that decision changed everything. What began as a chance to apply my digital marketing know-how quickly evolved into a deep dive into performance marketing, affiliate tech, and SaaS growth. Over time, it wasn’t just about executing, it became about building. What started as a growth role eventually evolved into entrepreneurship, leading to the launch of Affnook and Apptrove as independent products under our ecosystem. Today, I lead revenue across all three businesses, working across global markets to drive scalable solutions and long-term growth.”
Current Offerings by Mukul Kaushik
Interested to learn more about the services offered by Mukul at different associated roles, we posed the question, “Can you share more about your current role and the business you lead?”
He mentioned, “I’m the Chief Revenue Officer at Trackier, Affnook, and Apptrove, where I oversee global growth, sales, partnerships, and go-to-market strategies. All three are pure SaaS products. Trackier powers affiliate and performance marketing for advertisers, ad networks, and agencies, while Affnook is a vertical-specific SaaS tool designed for gaming brands, advertisers, and gaming affiliate networks, helping them connect and manage campaigns with high-performing affiliates. Additionally, Apptrove is a mobile measurement partner (MMP) tailored for mobile app companies, focused on accurate attribution, privacy-first tracking, and fraud prevention.
In all these companies, my role blends high-level strategy with on-ground execution, and I work closely with cross-functional teams across different continents to build and scale revenue engines.”
We further asked, “What are the core services/products you provide?”
“We provide a suite of products built for high-performance marketing and measurement. Trackier is a powerful performance marketing platform used by over 1,500 global businesses to track, optimize, and scale web and mobile campaigns. Moreover, Affnook helps gaming brands, advertisers, and affiliate networks seamlessly manage affiliate campaigns, monitor performance, and optimise partner relationships with real-time data and fraud protection tools.
And lastly, Apptrove offers attribution (including SKAN support), deep linking, real-time event tracking, fraud detection, and privacy-focused analytics to help apps grow in today’s fragmented ecosystem. Together, they form a connected ecosystem for modern marketers—from acquisition to analytics,” Mukul added.
Lessons Learnt throughout the Process
A business leader goes through some of the most important learnings while navigating this journey. We requested Mukul Kaushik to share some of his learnings.
“One of the most valuable learnings has been expanding globally while building the right team. Every region has its playbook; what works in India doesn’t necessarily work in LATAM or Europe. Scaling across these markets with limited resources meant learning fast, failing faster, and never assuming we know it all.
But in tech, nothing is impossible—it just takes consistent effort and adaptability. The real breakthrough came when we focused on finding and backing the right people. You don’t need a team full of A+ performers, you need a few people you can trust blindly, who will go the distance with you. Once you have that, you protect that culture and let them lead,” he replied.
Embracing Innovation and Digital Transformation
To understand Mukul Kaushik’s perspective on the digital revolution and its influence, we inquired, “How do you see technology, especially AI, impacting your industry?”
Mukul explained, “AI is rapidly transforming how we work—from attribution modeling to user behavior prediction and fraud detection. It’s helping us move beyond reactive dashboards to proactive decision-making.
For example, we use AI to predict campaign outcomes using historical data, enabling better incrementality measurement and budget allocation. We’re also developing prompt-based campaign creation tools, where AI configures targeting, creatives, and bidding—dramatically reducing the workload for ad ops managers. Ultimately, AI is empowering us and our clients to do more with less, with better accuracy and speed.”
Addressing the implementation of innovation at his company operations, we further asked, “Are there any innovative practices you’re implementing?”
He added, “Definitely. Innovation is at the heart of what we do. On the sales front, we’ve implemented a data-driven onboarding and lead qualification framework. More excitingly, we’re transitioning to an AI-augmented model where 50% of our BDR function will be powered by AI agents in the next 6 months. These AI reps will handle outreach, qualification, and follow-ups—allowing human reps to focus on strategic selling.
While on the product side, we’re building probabilistic attribution models to handle data loss in a privacy-first world, AI-powered fraud detection, and vertical-specific dashboards.”
Envisioning the Future
Interested to learn more about the upcoming trends of the industry from the expert himself, we asked Mukul, “What are your views on the future of the industry you’re associated with?”
He mentioned, “We’re at a pivotal moment. Privacy, automation, and accountability are reshaping the performance marketing and mobile attribution space. The cookie-less world is already here, and players that adapt with consent-first, AI-enhanced, and first-party data strategies will be the ones that thrive.
Affiliate and performance marketing will become more measurable, more automated, and more outcome-focused. The platforms that offer clarity and control without overwhelming complexity will define the next decade.”
Adaptability Amidst Uncertainties: Insights of an Expert
As an expert in the field, Mukul Kaushik is an inspiration for the upcoming generation of leaders. So, we asked, “What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs or leaders looking to make an impact in your industry?”
He shared, “Start with curiosity over credentials. Run your small campaigns, test tools, talk to users, and stay hands-on. Secondly, build relationships before you build products. In performance marketing, reputation is your strongest currency. And most importantly, stay agile. Tech and marketing change fast—what got you here won’t take you there. Adaptability is your superpower.”
The Art of Balancing
Balancing personal and professional life seamlessly is an art, but not everyone has expertise in it. To learn how Mukul does the same, we asked, “How do you maintain a healthy work-personal balance while managing a business?”
“To be honest, I believe in the always-on hustle—especially in the growth phase. But hustle doesn’t mean chaos. I blend work and life wherever I can—travel doubles as business exploration, and learning is scheduled, not accidental. The key is building a trusted team so I don’t have to micromanage. When you know what really moves the needle and focus on that, it becomes easier to sustain momentum without burning out. It’s not about balance—it’s about rhythm,” Mukul added.
