We recently had the privilege of interviewing David Saadeh, Founder and CEO of The Winery Window. With a passion for being a successful entrepreneur and business leader, David is proving the potential of his business in the F&B industry. With a unique approach, The Winery Window offers an innovative wine takeaway experience that speaks simplicity and creativity.

Eliminating the need for staff interaction with customers makes the entire process a fun and convenient way to enjoy a glass of wine on the go. In this insightful interview, David speaks about the spark that led him to this field, the challenges, the role of technology in his industry, and his take on balancing personal-professional life.

Spark Behind The Journey

We started the interview by asking, “How did you get started, and what led you to where you are today?”

David Saadeh shared, “From a young age, I knew I wanted to become an entrepreneur. The vision for ‘The Winery Window’ came to me clearly and strongly, and I believe it was given to me for a reason. While others doubted the idea, I felt confident that I needed to act on it. I knew it could work, and within just three weeks from concept to launch, I transformed an abandoned space in Batroun into a successful business. Now, ‘The Winery Window’ is an iconic part of the city, and it continues to grow beyond expectations.”

More About The Winery Window

To learn more about David Saadeh’s role in The Winery Window and the offerings of the organization, we asked, “Can you share more about your current role and the business you lead? What are the core services/products you provide?”

David Saadeh responded, “At The Winery Window, we provide an innovative wine takeaway experience that combines simplicity and creativity. Customers select a colored token for their wine choice, slide it along with payment, ring a bell to signal their order, and receive their wine from a small window. This design eliminates any staff interaction, making the experience smooth, efficient, and memorable.

The concept is not only practical but also highly Instagrammable, creating a fun and convenient way to enjoy a glass of wine on the go. It’s rewarding to see people from all walks of life—of all ages and genders—lining up to enjoy the concept, leaving with a smile on their faces.”

Adaptability Amidst Challenges

While challenging phases are an inevitable part of every business, we were intrigued to learn how David overcame the same. So, we asked, “What challenges have you faced as a business leader, and how have you overcome them?”

David Saadeh reflected, “One of the main challenges I faced was overcoming skepticism. When I first shared the idea, very few people believed in it, but I was driven by my vision. I knew that the opportunity was unique and needed to be seized. The financial model was designed with efficiency in mind—low CAPEX, low OPEX, and high revenue potential. This approach has proven effective, and it feels great to see the business thrive without needing heavy investment or complex operations. I’m proud that the concept has generated a lot of buzz, with customers enjoying a seamless, memorable experience.”

Crucial Role Of AI In Business Transformation

With fast-paced digital evolution transforming businesses across industries, we were interested to learn how it impacted The Winery Window. So, we asked David, “How do you see technology, especially AI, impacting your industry? Are there any innovative practices you’re implementing?”

In the future, I see AI playing a key role in optimizing operations. At ‘The Winery Window,’ we’re exploring AI solutions to track consumption, improve inventory management, and further enhance the customer experience. This would allow us to run more efficiently and focus on scaling the concept while maintaining its quality and appeal.” He mentioned.

Envisioning The Future Of Hospitality And F&B Space

We further asked, “What are your views on the future of the industry you’re associated with?”

David Saadeh added, “I believe the future of the hospitality and F&B industry will continue to move toward more streamlined, experience-driven concepts. Businesses that offer unique, easily accessible experiences will dominate. The Winery Window is part of this shift, and we aim to continue innovating, creating new ways for people to enjoy food and beverage in simple, social settings.”

Words Of Wisdom For Beginners

For the aspiring professionals in David’s industry, we asked, “What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs or leaders looking to make an impact in your industry?”

David Saadeh replied, “My advice would be to trust your vision, even when others don’t see it. Sometimes the ideas that others doubt are the ones with the greatest potential. Move quickly, start with what you have, and build your business around efficiency and simplicity. Focus on creating value, whether that’s through quality or volume, depending on your position in the market. And always be ready to adapt and scale as you go.”

Creating Value With Simplicity

We ended the session by asking, “How do you maintain a work-life balance while managing a business?”

For me, balance is about smart work and setting clear boundaries. I’ve learned to manage multiple ventures without burning out, and part of that is delegating tasks and trusting my team. I focus on creating systems that allow me flexibility in my schedule, so I can spend time with loved ones, enjoy life, and recharge. I prioritize what matters most—personal well-being, time with family, and having fun—while continuing to grow my business.

I believe in mixing business and fun, which is reflected in my work at management consulting, as I simplify the concept. Because I believe it’s not just about running a business but also about building something cool and enjoyable. The Winery Window is a prime example of how we can create value with a simple idea and offering—without overcomplicating things or chasing the next abstract unicorn idea. My biggest learnings from this experience are building around efficiency and simplicity as a business hack.

Moreover, consumers love new concepts. Introducing something unique and fresh fuels hype and word of mouth, which has been instrumental in the success of The Winery Window.” David concluded.
