We recently had the opportunity to interview Anis Sfar, a seasoned professional and the CEO of Elevatia Real Estate. With a strong background in Business Administration, he emphasizes organizational efficiency to drive impactful outcomes. Contributing to business strategy and operational improvements at Elevatia Real Estate, Anis Sfar has established the company as one of the dominant names in the dynamic real estate sector of the UAE.
The Beginning
We started the interview by asking, “What inspired you to start or lead this business, and how has the journey surprised you?”
Anis Sfar shared, “What inspired me was the unique investment potential of the UAE real estate market. The country has created an environment where innovation, security, and long-term vision converge. I saw an opportunity not only to invest, but to help investors structure and manage their real estate portfolios strategically.
What surprised me most during the journey was the speed of transformation in the UAE. Markets evolve quickly, new opportunities emerge constantly, and success belongs to those who combine local understanding with global investment strategies. It confirmed my belief that portfolio management in this market is not just about buying properties—it’s about building long-term investment architecture.”
Advice to Younger Self
We then asked, “If you could go back to your first year in this role, what advice would you give yourself?”
He added, “I would tell myself to think even bigger and move faster. In the UAE, opportunities emerge quickly but also evolve rapidly. The key lesson I learned is that success comes from building strong networks, understanding market cycles, and staying close to investors’ long-term objectives.
I would also remind myself that discipline in portfolio management is more important than chasing trends.”
Navigating through Challenges
Every challenge doesn’t have a predefined solution. So, we asked Anis Sfar, “How do you approach solving problems that don’t have clear solutions?”
“In real estate and investment management, many challenges don’t have a single obvious answer. My approach is to step back and look at the problem from three angles: data and market fundamentals, investor objectives, and long-term market direction.
When you align those three elements, the solution often becomes clearer. I also believe strongly in collaboration and listening to different perspectives, because complex problems are rarely solved in isolation,” he explained.
Lessons Embraced in the Journey
Interested to learn more about the unique experiences that shaped the way Anis Sfar runs his business, we asked him to share the same.
Anis Sfar mentioned, “One experience that shaped my approach was observing how investors react during periods of uncertainty or geopolitical tension. In those moments, emotions often dominate decision-making.
That experience reinforced my philosophy: real estate portfolio management must always be strategic and disciplined, especially during uncertain times. Investors who stay focused on fundamentals often find the best opportunities when others hesitate.”
A Strategic Leader
To learn more about the leadership approach of Anis Sfar, we asked, “If you had to describe your leadership style in one word, what would it be, and why?”
“Strategic. Everything I do revolves around long-term thinking. Real estate is not just about transactions; it’s about building resilient portfolios that perform across cycles. My role as a leader is to ensure that every decision aligns with a broader vision of sustainable growth,” he reflected.
From Setbacks to Success
Intrigued to learn more, we requested Anis Sfar to share a challenge he faced that led to a surprising breakthrough.
Anis Sfar explained, “One challenge was navigating investment strategy during a period of global uncertainty affecting real estate markets. Many investors became cautious, and the instinct was to pause.
Instead, we focused on portfolio restructuring and identifying undervalued opportunities. That approach led to stronger positions for our investors and reinforced the idea that strategic thinking during uncertainty often creates the greatest breakthroughs.”
A Wave of Transformation
Lastly, we asked, “If you could change one thing about the industry you work in, what would it be?”
“I would encourage a greater shift toward professional portfolio management in real estate.
Many investors still approach property as isolated purchases rather than as part of a structured investment portfolio. By adopting more professional portfolio strategies—similar to financial markets—investors can significantly improve risk management, diversification, and long-term returns.
The UAE real estate market rewards those who combine vision with discipline. The future belongs to investors who treat property not just as an asset, but as a strategic portfolio,” Anis Sfar reflects.
