The founder and chairperson of the Kalimat Foundation, Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, visited the Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children to discover more about the organization’s groundbreaking work creating cutting-edge therapies for uncommon pediatric illnesses.

With 100 Arabic and English-language books, the library hopes to stimulate young patients’ creativity and curiosity while they are undergoing treatment at the hospital. It also gives them the opportunity to escape reality and enter a pleasant, joyful world of dreams and imagination. We think that storytelling can bring people together and heal. The Kalimat Foundation’s Pledge a Library campaign aims to provide youngsters with hope at a time when they most need it.

Dr. Matthew Shaw, the chief executive of Great Ormond Street Hospital, and Professor Claire Booth, a professor of pediatric immunology and gene therapy and a consultant pediatric immunologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, welcomed the Kalimat Foundation group. Sheikh Khalid Saud AlQasimi, the deputy head of mission of the UAE Embassy in London, also attended the visit.
