
Following the declaration that Israel and Hamas had reached an agreement on a ceasefire plan, the Gaza civil defense organization reported multiple strikes on the area on Thursday. One of the agency’s officers, Mohammed Al-Mughayyir, cited “a series of intense airstrikes” on Gaza City and stated, “Since the announcement last night of an agreement on a proposed ceasefire framework in Gaza, several explosions have been reported, particularly in areas of northern Gaza.
Donald Trump, the president of the United States, declared a peace agreement. Within 72 hours of the agreement going into effect, Hamas promised to exchange hostages and Palestinian inmates.
In a written statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared, “With God’s help we will bring them all home.” The remark was directed at the Hamas hostages. To approve the deal, he promised to call a meeting of his government on Thursday. Following Trump’s announcement that Israel and Hamas had reached an agreement on the initial phase of a truce, smoke rose from Gaza.
