The second Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Expo was opened at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre by Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the Head of the Oil Department, and the President of the Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC).
Industry executives, regulatory agencies, and specialists gather for the two-day event to talk about raising environmental, health, and safety standards and coordinating stakeholders’ efforts around a common goal of making workplaces safer and more sustainable across all industries. The national anthem of the United Arab Emirates opened the ceremony. After then, SNOC CEO Hatem Dhiyab Al Mussa gave a speech greeting the organization’s president and guests.
He stressed that health and safety are real values that determine a project’s operation, leadership, and progress, not merely priorities. The exhibition, now in its second year, focuses on creating a secure and healthy work environment, according to Al Mussa.
He said that although there are many changes in projects throughout the world, health and safety stay the same and develop to support the expansion of projects and their employees in different industries.
According to the CEO of SNOC, sectors function in a dynamic environment where partners’ goals are constantly evolving. Specialised institutions are responsible for promoting advancement and successfully implementing health and safety protocols, ensuring project development and continuity.
