Sharjah’s deputy ruler, Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, and Her Highness The first edition of the Global Children and Youth Film Congress was held on Wednesday at the House of Wisdom as part of the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth. Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the chairperson of the Sharjah Family and Community Affairs Authority and the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, attended the sessions.
The major session, according to Sheikha Jawaher, focused on the Palestinian cause, which remains deeply ingrained in UAE culture, especially in Sharjah. She emphasized that a deep and unwavering passion for Palestine has been instilled in generations of UAE citizens.
While making sure that children are shielded from anything that goes against Islamic and cultural values, she urged media professionals to keep up their advocacy for truthfulness and integrity and use their platforms to increase Palestine’s visibility in the public eye. She also asked Emirati society to shield its children from harmful influences by highlighting the risks of content in electronic games and movies that encourage negative behavior.
