During his visit of Tabriz, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was put in an awkward situation when his convoy in Qazvin Province was hit by fuel tainted with water, causing all the cars to break down simultaneously and forcing Pezeshkian to hire a cab.

Iran International” reported the event, citing the Iranian President’s special inspector, Mostafa Mowlavi. According to him, the incident happened on July 5 as the president and his entourage were traveling from Qazvin to Tabriz, his birthplace, in three automobiles.

Mowlavi clarified that the convoy proceeded to Tabriz after stopping at a station along the Rasht route to refuel. However, while traveling, all of the cars suddenly broke down simultaneously, and it was later discovered that the fuel had been tampered with by adding water.

Before getting to Takestan, all three of the automobiles broke down, according to Mowlavi. After looking into it, we found that this station has a history of these infractions and sells subpar gasoline that has been diluted with water. Mowlavi claims that Masoud Pezeshkian did not take any formal action or get in touch with the provincial authorities after the event. Rather, he proceeded to Tabriz in a private cab.
