Flydubai, a carrier located in Dubai, began operating a three-times-weekly service between Dubai International (DXB) and Riga Airport (RIX) with its first direct flight to Riga, the capital of Latvia. The importance of this new link between the UAE and Latvia was highlighted as the first flight touched down in Riga to a cordial welcome from airport officials.
This day marks a new phase in the friendship between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Latvia,” stated Noora Juma, the UAE’s ambassador to Latvia. In addition to improving connection between our nations, the introduction of direct flights between Dubai and Riga by UAE airline flydubai will create new avenues for travel, commerce, and cultural exchange.
