With remarkable fireworks and light displays spanning from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah, the United Arab Emirates is getting ready to greet the New Year 2026 with an unparalleled celebration extravaganza. The UAE’s status as a capital of significant festivities and safe, top-notch events will be reinforced by the activities, which are expected to provide a worldwide tableau of joy and awe.
One of the biggest New Year’s Eve celebrations in the nation and the region will take place in the Al Wathba area of Abu Dhabi. The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Festival has completed preparations for an incredible program that will include the world’s largest drone shows, the longest and largest fireworks displays, and heritage and cultural events with national pavilions, sponsors, and strategic partners.
Beginning at 20:00 and ending at midnight with a continuous main display spanning 62 minutes, the celebration will present an extraordinary fireworks display lasting more than an hour, including bids to set five new Guinness World Records across five time segments. The event will create a spectacular display above the Al Wathba sky using the most recent launch and visual synchronization technologies.
Alongside the countdown and pyrotechnics, festival attendees will experience a spectacular drone show with 6,500 drones flying simultaneously for 20 minutes, creating nine enormous artistic scenes that will be shown worldwide for the first time.
