At Global Rail 2025, which has as its theme “Driving the Future of Transport and Global Connectivity,” Etihad Rail, the company that builds and runs the UAE’s national railway network, reaffirms its dedication to innovation.
Etihad Rail announced the opening of the Etihad Rail Innovation Centre (ERIC), the first national platform in the United Arab Emirates devoted to mobility innovation, at Global Rail 2025. Additionally, it revealed the winners of the second edition of the Global Rail Innovation Awards, a Dhs 1 million prize that provides a worldwide forum for identifying and advancing high-potential solutions in infrastructure, logistics, and rail.
Together, these programs and other significant projects demonstrate Etihad Rail’s long-term plan to establish the United Arab Emirates as a global center that seeks to revolutionize logistics and transportation in the future while supporting national objectives like the UAE Vision 2031 and the UAE Net Zero 2050 strategy.
