In order to foster the next generation of Emirati nuclear operations leaders, the Emirates Nuclear Energy Company (ENEC) has started the Graduate Plant Operator (GPO) Program. This initiative demonstrates the company’s dedication to investing in the next generation of Emirati nuclear professionals who will advance the country’s nuclear operations.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering (such as electrical, mechanical, nuclear, etc.) is required for admission to the GPO Program. It provides a distinctive route to acquire the thorough understanding, practical experience, and operational know-how necessary for a successful career in the management and operations of nuclear energy plants.
After three years, operators who excel will advance to training to become Senior Reactor Operators (SROs), a crucial leadership position in charge of the plant systems’ safe operation, upkeep, and testing.
The Graduate Plant Operator Program is a strategic investment in our nation’s human resources, according to Mohamed Al Hammadi, ENEC’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Building the UAE’s clean energy legacy by empowering today’s graduates and making sure our facility satisfies the highest national and international standards for efficiency, safety, and security.
