A snowstorm known as a “Nor’easter” is expected to have a severe impact on the New York, Newark, and Boston regions, prompting Emirates Airlines to announce additional flight cancellations to the United States. The airline posted this information on its official website.
Additional flights were canceled on February 22 and 23, according to the airline, affecting connections from Athens and Milan to New York and Newark (EWR), as well as routes between Dubai and both New York (JFK) and Boston (BOS). Furthermore, some flights scheduled for February 24 were also impacted.
EK203 (February 22 and 23) from Dubai to New York, EK204 (February 23 and 24) from New York to Dubai, EK201 and EK202 (February 23) between Dubai and New York, EK237 and EK238 (February 23) between Dubai and Boston, EK209 and EK210 (February 22 and 23) between Athens and Newark, and EK205 and EK206 (February 23) between Milan and New York were among the round-trip flights that were impacted by the cancellations.
Following the airline’s earlier notice of several flight cancellations due to extreme weather on the US East Coast, these actions were taken. The decision was made as a precaution to put passenger and crew safety first.
