After temporarily suspending flights to and from Dubai until further notice, Emirates has said that they are starting up again. According to the airline, travelers who have confirmed reservations for the afternoon of March 7 are free to head to the airport. Customers who are transiting in Dubai are included in this, provided that their connecting flight is also running.
The news was made just hours after Dubai police responded to a small incident involving the fall of debris following an interception. Passengers can check the flight schedule for forthcoming flights and reserve seats to fly via http://emirat.es/nowoperating. According to them, there have been no reported injuries and the event has been controlled.
The airline had advised passengers not to visit the airport earlier on Saturday morning due to the cancelation of operations. The airline had stated that it would provide information as soon as they became available and that crew and passenger safety would always come first. In addition to announcing the cancelation, the airline provided a list of options for passengers scheduled to fly between February 28 and March 31.
