Shahid Afridi, a former cricket player for Pakistan, has urged India and Pakistan to have amicable ties, emphasising the value of collaboration above hostility. Afridi stressed the significance of settling disputes diplomatically and apologised for India’s rash charges against Pakistan, especially in light of Kashmir.
He said these things when he visited Lala Darbar, a restaurant founded by the cricket legend’s passion for Pakistani food and culture, to commemorate its reopening on April 25. At the restaurant at Dubai International City, he was mobbed by admirers.
The goal of Lala Darbar, under the direction of Afridi, is to serve authentic Pakistani food prepared with love and spirit. Comforting matka chai is served in traditional clay cups, accompanied by sizzling seekh kebabs and slow-cooked biryanis, all on the menu. The restaurant’s recently renovated interiors offer a warm, inviting space for families and friends, blending vibrant Pakistani style with modern elements.
Lala Darbar’s partners are excited about the launch and honoured to work with Shahid Afridi. “Good food is close to a Pakistani’s heart, and Lala Darbar will always remind you of Pakistan in every bite,” they stated. Saleem Karsaz, Imran Paracha, Fahad Abdullah, and Hamdan Yaseen, Lala Darbar’s partners, are all extremely happy and hopeful about the relaunch and their proud collaboration with the cricket legend. They believe that delicious cuisine is essential to Pakistanis, and every taste of the meal at Lala Darbar will bring back memories of Pakistan.
