In December 2025, the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Cultural District will open to the public. The illustrious establishment celebrates the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the United Arab Emirates, and his dedication to learning, identity, and community.

The museum upholds the principles Sheikh Zayed stood for, such as humanitarianism and the preservation of Emirati culture and history, by building on his vision via immersive displays, ongoing research, and public and community programs. In addition to a temporary exhibition gallery, visitors will explore six permanent galleries spread across two levels that cover 300,000 years of human history. In addition to local and foreign loans, the museum’s collection includes artefacts from all throughout the United Arab Emirates, including gifts of the country’s history.

From the founding of the UAE’s first cultural institutions to today’s broad vision for cultural exchange and knowledge, the country’s cultural legacy has been nurtured over decades,” stated Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. The next phase of our country’s path is represented by Saadiyat Cultural District, which houses top-notch institutions that respect the past while embracing the future.
