Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs and the wife of the Sharjah ruler, will have her personal collection of fascinating artwork and historical artefacts on display at the museum.
By demonstrating the significant impact of Islamic and Arab crafts on historical and modern arts, the museum hopes to inspire upcoming generations of designers and craftspeople.
According to Sheikha Jawaher, museums serve as more than just venues for showcasing exhibits; they are links between the past and present that encourage future generations to create a future based on cultural values and legacy. The founding of this museum emphasises the value of conserving old crafts and showcasing their influence on the current state of art. It will be a platform that celebrates creativity and allows designers and artisans to share experiences, learn from, and benefit from the rich legacy left by their ancestors,” she continued.
