The Human Rights course is concluded by Dubai Police. In an effort to raise knowledge and professionalism in policing, Dubai Police and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) completed a three-day Human Rights training session. 40 participants from the National Human Rights Institution, several Dubai Police departments, and police stations throughout the emirate attended the course, which was organized by the General Department of Human Rights.

Helping police officers and human rights experts better grasp how to incorporate human rights principles into their day-to-day work was the main goal of the course. It discussed how to foster community trust, safeguard vulnerable populations, and provide services that respect equality, justice, and dignity.

The seminar demonstrates Dubai Police’s strong commitment to making sure its procedures adhere to both professional and human standards, according to Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Ali Al Matrooshi, Director of the Child and Women Protection Department. Human rights are fundamental to our work. It raises the standard of our services and contributes to the development of community trust. We were happy to observe that participants were really aware and enthusiastic. We are pleased to have graduated a fresh class of professionals that will diligently and carefully use these principles in their work.
